Occasionally I like to throw in a post or two regarding grammar. Now, I’m not exempt from poor grammar. None of us are. Mistakes and accidents happen, no matter how many times we read over something. My goal in these posts is not to make anyone feel uneducated. Rather, my goal is to inform those who wish to know.
Today we’re talking about a part versus apart. The small space makes these two words antonyms.
A part means “a portion of a whole.” An example – This piece is a part of the puzzle.
Apart means “separate.” An example – I tore the paper apart.
I hope this post has helped you better understand the difference! If you have anything you’d like to add, please add a comment! Thank you for reading!
